All In The Family Blogging

With 4 family members now blogging it seems like we have turned blogging into a family affair.
My wife writes on several blogs including CelebrityRamble and ProductReviewsBlog
My Brother has 2 personal blogs at This Crazy Cosmos and Daily Rover, he is also the main writer at MusicRamble
My youngest daughter has decided to give blogging a go, just sharing her opinions on what ever stirkes her fancy at Dava’s Space
And of course I write here, Ramble On and CyberCoded along with a few others.

CyberCoder Wordpress Themes

I finally got around to getting these Wordpress Themes cleaned up, organized and uploaded.
The first theme is just an Empty Wordpress Theme. This may seem a little silly, but you would be surprised at how many people want this to learn from.
The second theme is a Minimal Wordpress Theme that may not be the most beautiful theme you can find, but it is very functional and does very well on Niche sites where the primary focus is driving traffic from search engines and converting that traffic into income.

Post Via Email On Wordpress Blog

I have always been interested in this aspect of blogging but never took the time to slow down long enough to check it out.
This post is being accomplished using the Post via Email options in Wordpress 2.51
I am toying with lots of ideas where this could be very beneficial and I
plan on writing up a detailed post on how to set this up easily on a
Wordpress blog.

Google Maps Real Estate

Last month Google released their Real Estate search functionality for Google Maps. The information is fed by Google Base.
At first this may seem to be a very limited structure since a lot of Real Estate Agents/Brokers do not post their listing to Google Base. However, the trend for the last few years is for Real Estate Agents to use systems that syndicate their listings to several sources including Google Base, so there are a lot of listings in the system. This will probably be a good catalyst in convincing more Real Estate Agents to use these syndication services.

Mobile Friendly Web Sites

If you use a mobile device to surf the web one thing you realize is that having a mobile version of any site can be very helpful, especially with the volume of mobile internet viewing increasing daily.
It is a little ironic that we have gone almost full circle on web design. We started with very text intensive low graphics back in the early 90′ to where the average viewer is now using a minimum of 1024×768 resolution with JavaScript capabilities and a wide range of Web 2.0 functions. And now we need a knocked down version for mobile users.
